I’m drawn to the quiet rhythms that exist in nature; the way light shifts across a landscape, the repetition of organic forms, the textures carved by time, and the colors that seem to breathe together. My paintings begin with observation, but they become something more intuitive as I work. I’m interested in creating pieces that feel alive through movement, layered texture, and open to discovery. Lately, my practice has become less about controlling an outcome and more about trusting the process, allowing curiosity, experimentation, and play to guide each painting. I hope my work invites viewers to slow down, notice the subtle beauty that surrounds us, and reconnect with the sense of wonder that nature so effortlessly offers.
Marie Renaudin is a painter originally from Nashville, Tennessee, now based in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, where she developed a multidisciplinary foundation in painting, drawing, and sculpture. Since relocating to Chicago to seek her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, her artistic practice has evolved toward a more intuitive and expressive approach. Through layered surfaces and organic forms, Renaudin explores the relationship between observation and instinct, creating paintings that reflect both the physical beauty of nature and its quieter presence.
